Here are some tips and best practices you can do to minimize your costs and save money when using the Relay Network.
Place your Relay Dispatches/Orders in Advance
The further in advance you place your order, the more likely it is to be accepted by a driver in your area. This is especially true for newer carriers on the Network, since a newer carrier does not have a rating and has not built relationships with drivers yet.
We typically recommend putting up orders 48-72 hours in advance, but you are always welcome to place an order for same-day or next-day if needed. Please note that carriers who post orders same-day or next-day typically pay more on average.
Build Your Preferred Network
Building your Preferred Network is one of the most useful tools in your belt as a carrier on the Relay Network.
Building and maintaining relationships with drivers that accept your routes is important because drivers are much more likely to continue doing routes for carriers they feel respected and understood by.
Directly Assign Relays to Drivers In Your Preferred Network
Directly assigning your Relays to a driver in your Preferred Network saves you from paying the Network Fee that is usually paid when sending an order out to all of the drivers in your area.
By directly assigning your Relay orders, you only pay the payment processing fee for that order.
